Beinn Fhada & A’ Ghlas-bheinn via Hunter’s Pass, Two Munros
September 22 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm£55
Beinn Fhada and A’ Ghlas-bheinn are two fine munros that are easily accessed from Morvich a small village that sits at the head of Loch Duich in Kintail. This route is a variation to the normal route and takes in the entire ridge line of Beinn Fhada including the Hunter’s Pass.
The route starts from parking within Morvich, leaving the village on a distinct footpath after a short distance we leave the footpath to gain a grassy slope that leads to Beinn Bhudhe, here the ridge curves to the right and passes over many rocky tops that provide easy scrambling before descending into the Hunter’s Pass. The route now continues along a pleasant ridge passing over Ceum na h-Aon-choise and Meall an Fhuarain Mhoir before a gentle stroll across the plateau leads to the summit of Beinn Fhada, first munro of the day.
From the summit of Beinn Fhada we continue north and descend to Bealach an Sgaime. Here a straight forward uphill climb leads to the summit of A’ Ghlas-bheinn and the second munro of the day.
Descent will be to the west, where a broad sweeping ridge will lead us down to the safety of a forestry track and then return us to the parking within Morven.
Meeting at the parking within Morvin village, 08.00 22nd September 2022. Cost is £55.00 per person if paying by PayPal or £50.00 per person if paying by invoice, email firstname.lastname@example.org or Whatsapp 07969847338 for further details.
