Introduction to Night Navigation, Greenock Cut

This evening introductory night navigation course based within the scenic Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park, is aimed at complete beginners to night navigation and introduces the very basics of using a map & compass and the strategies used to navigate at night.
The course covers maps, different types of maps, how to set or orientate a map. Basic principles of using map and compass, how to take a bearing and walk on a bearing. A short walk through the hills overlooking the Greenock Cut Visitor Centre.
All learning materials including, maps, map cases and compasses will be provided by Aspect Mountaineering. Participants must provide there own head torches and be appropriately equipped for a night walk. Please contact Aspect Mountaineering if you would like further information.
