The Ring of Steall is a classic ridge walk within the Mamores mountain range that overlooks Kinlochleven and is made up of four munros, An Gearanach, Stob Coire a’ Chairn, Am Bodach and Sgurr a’ Mhaim.
This magnificent day will start from the Lower Steall Falls car park within Glen Nevis, from here we will climb steeply to the summit of Sgurr a’ Mhaim the first munro of the day.
Some of the finest ridge walking within mainland Scotland now lies ahead of us, first we must descend the Devil’s Ridge and pass over two munro tops that leads to the summit of Am Bodach the second munro of the day.
We pass over another top to gain the summit of Stob coire a’ Chairn the third munro of the day to pass over another top to gain An Gearanach the fourth and final munro of the day and one of the finest view points of Ben Nevis the UK’s highest mountain.
Descent will be towards the Steall Falls which leads to a pleasant wander through the Nevis Gorge returning us to the Upper Steall Falls car park where a car will be waiting to ferry us back to the Lower Steall Falls car park.
