Torridon Beinn Alligin, 2 Munros
August 6 @ 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
£65.00
Torridon is home to some of the most spectacular mountains and mountain ridges within mainland Scotland. Beinn Alligin is made up of two munros, Sgurr Mhor & Tom na Gruagaich that form an impressive ridge line with stunning views.
The day will begin from the car park at the foot of Coire Mhic Nobuil, from here a gentle walk leads to a small bridge. We will cross the bridge to gain steeper ground that will lead us towards the Horns of Beinn Alligin, once we have crossed over the Horns of Beinn Alligin we will gain a bealach where a steep climb leads to the summit of Sgurr Mhor the first munro of the day.
To gain the summit of Tom na Gruagaich the second munro we must descend to another bealach where a more gradual uphill climb leads to its summit.
Descent is via Meall an Laoigh a minor top that leads us into Coir’ nan Laogh, a steep descent soon leads to easier ground returning us to our starting point at the foot of Coire Mhic Nobuil.
