Torridon Beinn Eighe, 2 Munros
August 7 @ 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
£65.00
Torridon is home to some of the most spectacular mountains and mountain ridges within mainland Scotland. Beinn Eighe is made up of two munros, Ruadh-stac Mor & Spidean Coire nan Clach that form an impressive ridge line with stunning views.
The day will begin from the car park within Glen Torridon. From here we will walk northwest through Coire Dubh Mor until the path changes direction to north. We will continue until it it possible to ascend into Coire Mhic Fhearchair. Possibly the most scenic of all corries within Scotland. Here we can enjoy splendid views of the towering cliffs above and the famous Triple Buttresses of Beinn Eighe.
Our journey continues passing the Triple Buttresses on the left to gain a path that leads steeply uphill to the bealach between Coinneach Mhor a munro top and Ruadh-stac Mor the first munro of this spectacular walk. A gradual uphill climb north leads to the summit of Ruadh-stac Mor.
Now we must re-trace our steps back to the bealach before continuing in an easterly direction to gain another bealach before climbing again to reach the summit of Spidean Coire nan Clach the second munro of this spectacular ridge walk.
Descent will be to the south, returning us to the road not far from Loch Bharranch.
