Introductory Rock Climbing Session

Rock climbing is becoming more and more popular and this fun introductory session at Auchinstarry Quarry for adults is a fantastic way to experience this expanding sport at a great location with a pleasant outlook over the surrounding countryside.
What the session includes:
The session will begin with some fun warm-up games, played within the quarry on natural rock. Once warmed up we will move on to rock climbing, learn how to tie in with a suitable knot and learn how to belay safely whilst under expert supervision of a fully qualified Rock Climbing Development Instructor, that is fully insured and first aid trained.
All equipment to enjoy this fun, introductory rock climbing session will be provided at no extra cost. This includes, harness, helmet and rock shoes.
What to bring:
Bring warm clothes, a wind proof jacket, plenty of snacks and a drink of water.

Please note rock climbing activities are weather dependant. An alternative venue maybe used on the day. Where this is not possible the event will be moved to a mutually agreed alternative date.
